✓ BIOLOGICAL SOURCE 
             Dried leaves and flowering top of     Datura metel.

✓MORPHOLOGY 
  - Color: Leaves-Green to pale colour 
  - odour: Characteristics and unpleasant 
  - Taste: Bitter.
  - Size: Leaves 9-18cm long& 8-130cm wide.
  - Leaf is covered with minute hairs.
  - Flower are funnel shaped, reddish purple in color on outside and whitish on inside.


✓USES:-
   - Hyoscine is parasympatholytic with anticholinergic and central nervous system (CNS) depressant effect.
  - As a pre-operative medicine along with morphine.
  - Used in treatment of asthma and cough.
  - Hyoscine hydrobromide is used in motion sickness, Gastric or duodenal ulcers.
